Difference in Estimated Monthly Benefit with
years of ARC service:
(Please click the calculate button again if you change the number of years)
NOTE: The "Difference in Estimated Monthly Benefit" amount is based upon the assumption that General members will retire at the age of 59 and Probation/Safety members will retire at the age of 54. If you retire at a younger age: (1) the difference in estimated monthly benefit will be less than what is shown and (2) the "Simple ROI (Return On Investment) For Lump Sum" estimate will differ as well.
If you do not have enough service or membership at the applicable age listed above, the estimator assumes you will retire when you reach 10 years of service or at age 70, whichever comes first. Accordingly, if you retire after 10 years of service or older than 70 the difference in estimated monthly benefit will be more than what is shown and (2) the "Simple ROI (Return On Investment) For Lump Sum" estimate will differ as well.
If you are already past the assumed retirement age and are otherwise qualified for retirement with service, the estimator assumes that you will retire as of the date of the estimate. Further note that an ARC purchase will not increase your retirement benefit if it would cause you to receive more than 100% of your final average monthly compensation.
