Welcome to one of the world’s finest defined benefit retirement plans!
SamCERA’s Contributory Plan 4 offers substantial retirement, service disability, non-service disability, duty death, non-duty death and retirement death benefits to eligible members, their spouses and beneficiaries, plus annual cost-of-living allowances.
SamCERA’s Non-Contributory Plan 3 offers minimal retirement benefits to eligible members, their spouses and beneficiaries.
SamCERA’s website at www.samcera.org will always provide you with detailed information regarding your SamCERA benefits.
As a new County General Member, it is time for you to make two very important decisions.
- You must select the retirement plan that is right for you within your first 60 days of membership.
- You must name your SamCERA beneficiary as soon as possible.
Please take time to learn about your retirement benefits and share this information with your beneficiaries.
